CROS (Contralateral Routing of Signals) Hearing Aids are specialized solutions for individuals with single-sided deafness (SSD) or significant hearing loss in one ear and normal or usable hearing in the opposite ear. Unlike traditional hearing aids that amplify sound in both ears, CROS systems capture sound from the non-hearing side and transmit it to the better ear, improving awareness and understanding of sounds on the weaker side.
